PUDHUPETTAI is on the action genre directed by Selvaraghavan. The movie is produced by Lakshmi Movie Makers. After the success of 'Kadhal Kondein','7/g Rainbow Colony', Selvaraghavan, Dhanush and Yuvan Shankar Raja, Arvind Krishna, have teamed up again for 'Pudhupettai'.
The story is about the rites of passage of a don. Like all Selvaraghavan films, this one too has a lot of realism. Dhanush plays the lead male role in the film. Director said that he is well suited for the role and he has the talent to mould his story well. Sneha plays one of the lead role in the movie. She says it is one of the best roles that she had ever performed. Sonia Agarwal is also happy about her role in the film. This film was shot extensively in Ramoji Rao Studios, Hyderabad.
Though this is his first action flick, director has given a good shape to 'Pudhupettai' and came out as an excellent movie.
