Selvaraghavan is one of the India's upcoming young film director. He is the son of film director Kastoori Raja. His debut venture Thuluvatho Elamai, a movie that potrays about adolescent school students.His next film Kadhal Kondean was declared a superhit and got a fantastic applause. His directorial approach was appreciated by India's leading directors. Then his next venture 7G Rainbow colony was one of the best movie among today's cinema world. As far the audience 7/G was the best amongst his movies.

Selvaraghavan did his BE in Mechanical Engineering. After which he came directly to cinema direction. He has worked with director Balachander for some months.. He loves doing horror films and admits that he likes to scare people. His favourite directors are Oliver Stone and Francis Ford Coppola and the hero he'd like to direct Robert de Niro. He loves reading, mostly Wilbur Smith. He believes that his strength lies in writing a good screenplay.

The best compliments he has received are from the Press. And from Bharathiraja who said about 'Kaadhal Kondean' that "After Nayagan, it's the best film he has seen.

Selvaraghavan is currently working on Maruvan starring Dhanush and Andrea.
